Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Broadview Rails cancellation and refund policies vary depending on the type of ticket purchased. Below are the general guidelines for canceling tickets and obtaining refunds.

1. Cancellation Policy:

  • Standard (Saver) Fares:

    • Saver fares are non-refundable.
    • If you cancel or modify a reservation, no refund will be provided for these discounted tickets. However, you can apply the value of the ticket toward future travel with a fee.
  • Flexible Fares:

    • Flexible fares offer more lenient cancellation options.
    • Tickets can be canceled for a full refund up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure. If canceled within 2 hours of departure or after departure, a refund will not be provided.
  • Business and First Class Fares:

    • Tickets for business and first-class travel are also refundable if canceled up to 2 hours before departure.
    • If canceled after the train has departed or within the 2-hour window, no refund is offered.
  • Multi-Ride and Monthly Passes:

    • For multi-ride and monthly passes, cancellations are not typically allowed, but refunds may be possible for unused portions of the pass. These requests must be made through Broadviewrails customer service.

2. Refund Policy:

  • Refund Process:

    • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method, or a voucher may be issued for future travel. Refunds are typically processed within 7 to 10 business days.
    • To request a refund, travelers must either cancel their ticket online, through Broadview Rails mobile app, or by contacting customer service.
  • Refund Conditions:

    • Refunds for refundable tickets (Flexible Fares or Business/First-Class) will be issued in full if the cancellation is done at least 2 hours before departure.
    • If tickets are canceled within 2 hours of departure or after the train departs, the ticket is generally non-refundable.
    • No-shows are non-refundable, and passengers who fail to board the train without canceling their reservation will not receive a refund.
  • Train Cancellations and Delays:

    • If Broadviewrails cancels a train or there is a significant delay (typically more than 2 hours), passengers are eligible for a full refund or rebooking on the next available train.
    • If a train is delayed and passengers choose not to travel, they are entitled to a refund for the unused portion of their ticket.

3. Special Offers and Discounts:

  • Tickets purchased as part of a special offer or discounted fare may have different cancellation and refund policies. These will be clearly stated during the booking process.
